Michal Stupavský abounds with a strong academic background in economics, finance and investments having graduated from the University of Economics in Prague in Finance and Business Valuation in 2011 and having received the CFA charter in 2012. Michal has 9 years of diverse finance oriented professional experience: asset & portfolio management (financial markets), global industrial corporations (building materials, oil refining & petrochemicals), non-profit organisation, including PR and corporate communication responsibilities, and since recently with an enhanced focus on continuous process improvement in business analysis. Michal currently holds the position of Manager Macro & Business Development at Strategic Planning Department of Cemex, one of the global building materials majors, being responsible for German and Czech market.
Michal has been volunteering in the CFA Society Czech Republic since 2013 making interviews with CFA charterholders and picking thought-provoking content for Society's social media. Having a tremendous passion for behavioral finance he is a co-author of the first Czech book on this theme "21st Century Investor" (Investor 21.století, Nakladatelství Plot, 2013). He was one of 13 Czech investment professionals interviewed in the book "Invest with Czech experts" (Investujte s českými experty, Grada Publishing, 2012). His degree thesis "Behavioral finance - Implications for investors" (Behaviorální finance - Implikace pro investory) from 2011 is going to be published in a mini-series for Czech bookstores during this summer. Last but not least Michal has been regularly giving lectures and leading workshops both privately and within his professional corporate duties since 2009.
Andreas R. Ziegler
Prof. Andreas R. Ziegler is a professor at the Faculty of Law of the University of Lausanne and works as a counsel with the Swiss law firm of Froriep Renggli. His main areas of interest are legal aspects of international trade and investment policy and WTO dispute settlement. He also works in the area of European and bilateral economic relations. He has experience with negotiations and meetings within the WTO, OECD, EFTA, Switzerland-EU, and UNCTAD on Trade and competition, Trade and investment and issues relating to international and European economic law. During his career, he used to work as a researcher at the University of St. Gallen and has held visiting appointments at a various universities. Mr. Ziegler is a member of the International Trade Law and the Law of Foreign Investment Committees under the International Law Association and is currently the President of it’s Swiss Branch and a Member of the Board of the European Community Studies Association of Switzerland and the National Competence Centre in Research.
