Bio - David Šimonek
David Šimonek is a head of Baker & McKenzie’s Real Estate & Environment Practice Group in Prague. He is highly recommended as a leading practitioner in his field by Chambers Europe. Mr. Šimonek also handles cases in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, banking, finance, litigation and insurance law.
Mr. Šimonek routinely advises on complex real estate development and construction matters, with particular emphasis on cross-border and international transactions. He also advises clients on the legal aspects of commercial leases for retail tenants, sale and lease back transactions, turnkey construction contracts, construction management agreements, as well as other related arrangements. His practice also involves complex structuring and regulatory advice on corporate restructuring and the financing of real estate projects.
Mr. Šimonek graduated from Charles University in Prague (2007, J.D.), Central European University in Budapest (2003, LL.M.) and T.M.C. Asser Institut in the Hague (2002).
